Jörg Diekmann was born in Cape Town in 1973 and grew up in the cultural backwaters of Kempton Park, South Africa. Self-taught, he slowly started oil painting in 2019, two decades after developing a pleasure in looking at paintings when he lived in London for five years. His primary interest is representational art. He lives and works in Cape Town.
